Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is authorised body SKTC-169 according to § 11 section 1 of the Act no. 264/1999 Coll. on technical requirements for products and on conformity assessment and on change and amendment of some Acts for conformity assessment.
Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is Notified Body according to the EU legislation with identification number 1354 and is holder of Notification Certificate issued by Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing of the Slovak Republic.
The essential objective of a conformity assessment procedure according to New Approach European Council and Parliament Directives is to enable the public authorities to ensure that products placed on the market conform to the requirements as expressed in the provisions of the directives, in particular with regard to the health and safety of users. Conformity is considered to be proved when the product meets all technical requirements applying for product. Conformity assessment is carried out by procedures (modules) according to relevant Directives.
Technická inšpekcia, a.s. as Notified Body performs conformity assessment according to following European Council and Parliament Directives:
- Directive 98/37/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to machinery,
- Council Directive 87/404/ EEC on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States relating to simple pressure vessels,
- Directive 95/16/EC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to lifts,
- Directive 94/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the approximation of the laws of the Member States concerning equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres,
- Directive 2000/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council relating to cableway installations designed to carry persons,
- Directive 97/23/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the approximation of the laws of the Member States concerning pressure equipment,
- Directive 99/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on transportable pressure equipment,
- Council Directive 73/23/EC on the harmonization of the laws of Member States relating to electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits,
- Council Directive 90/396/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to appliances burning gaseous fuels.
