Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is a joint-stock company founded by the state. The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic acts on its behalf. The establishment, formation, status, and legal relations of the company are governed by Act No. 513/1991 Coll., the Commercial Code, as amended, unless Act No. 124/2006 Coll. on Occupational Safety and Health and on amendments to certain acts provides otherwise.

Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is an internationally recognized, independent, expert, and client-oriented organization in the field of technical equipment safety. With a leading position in the Slovak market and operations in Europe and Asia, it serves as a commercial and professional leader in technical equipment safety assessment, dedicated to meeting the needs of both external and internal clients.

Status and Authorizations

Pursuant to Section 39 of Act No. 124/2006 Coll. and based on authorization No. OPO-000001-06 issued by the National Labour Inspectorate, Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is the first authorized legal entity for verifying the fulfillment of technical equipment safety requirements in accordance with Section 14 of Act No. 124/2006 Coll.
Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is an accredited inspection body based on Accreditation Certificate No. I-001, granted by the Slovak National Accreditation Service.
Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is the authorized body SKTC-169 pursuant to Section 10(1) of Act No. 56/2018 Coll. on product conformity assessment, making specified products available on the market, and on amendments to certain acts.
Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is a notified body under EU law with identification code 1354, granted by the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing.
Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is a certification body for product certification, management systems certification, and person certification, accredited by the Slovak National Accreditation Service.
Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is an authorized educational organization for training and education in the field of occupational safety, covering the scope of educational activities for inspection technicians, operators, repair personnel, and electrical engineers for reserved technical pressure, lifting, electrical, and gas equipment, as well as for the training and education of employees and managers (group 01.1), and holds the relevant authorizations issued by the National Labour Inspectorate.
