Module A (internal production control) and Module C (conformity to type based on internal production control) are conformity assessment procedures where the manufacturer, if necessary, requests Technická inšpekcia, a.s., as an independent accredited inspection body (AIO, a third independent party), for assistance in conformity assessment.
Module A – Internal Production Control
Module A is a conformity assessment procedure by which the manufacturer fulfills the obligations set out in Annex VI of Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 and ensures and declares on their sole responsibility that the relevant machinery or related product satisfies the applicable requirements of the aforementioned regulation.
Module C – Conformity to Type Based on Internal Production Control
Module C is part of a conformity assessment procedure by which the manufacturer fulfills the obligations set out in Annex VIII of Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 and ensures and declares on their sole responsibility that the machinery or related product concerned is in conformity with the type described in the EU-type examination certificate and satisfies the applicable requirements of the aforementioned regulation.
What Needs to Be Submitted
- Technical documentation according to Annex IV of the Regulation
- A declaration of the manufacturer’s commitment to take all measures necessary so that the manufacturing process and its monitoring ensure compliance of the manufactured products with the technical documentation and with the applicable requirements of the Regulation
- The physical product on which verification of the relevant safety-related parameters necessary for conformity assessment will be performed
- A draft of the EU declaration of conformity and product marking, including the CE mark
