(according to § 12 section 3 of the Act no. 56/2018 Coll. on technical requirements for products and on conformity assessment as amended)
Conformity assessment is to ascertain whether the real properties of determined product comply with defined technical requirements on products as to following procedures (modules):
Module „A“ – Internal production control. Module covers internal control of design and manufacture of product. This module does not requires the activity of authorised/notified body – Technická inšpekcia, a.s. but only activity of manufacturer, importer or distributor (hereinafter only “manufacturer”) who shall issue Declaration on Conformity for product.
Note: In upgrade to this module Aa1 it is considered, that Technická inšpekcia, a.s. is engaged in verification of conformity assessment by manufacturer. Technická inšpekcia, a.s. within the upgrade framework shall carry out tests of some safety aspects of products and/or evaluate whether technical and construction documentation based on which manufacturer declared conformity, is acceptable respectively if all safety aspects of the product are fulfilled according to harmonised standards STN EN, and whether declared conformity by manufacturer is legitimate.
The upgrade to module (abovementioned procedure) is free to choice of manufacturer.
Module „B“ – Type examination. Module covers the phase of product design, which shall be followed by module which determinate conformity assessment at manufacture phase. Certificate on type examination is issued by Technická inšpekcia, a.s., Declaration on Conformity is issued by manufacturer.
Module „C“ – Conformity to type. Module covers manufacture phase of product and follows the module “B”. Manufacturer declares conformity of product manufactured in series with certified type of product based on (inspection) certificate issued by Technická inšpekcia, a.s. according to procedure of module “B”.
Module „F“ – Product verification. Module covers manufacture phase of product and follows module “B”. Technická inšpekcia, a.s. controls conformity with the type according to certificate on type examination which is issued according to module “B” and shall issued (inspection) certificate on conformity.
Module „G“ – Unit verification. Module covers the phase of development and manufacture of product. Each product is investigated by Technická inšpekcia, a.s. who verifies design and manufacture of product and shall issue (isnpeciton) certificate on conformity.
Modules „D“, „E“ and „H“ – Product quality assurance. Modules cover phase of design respectively manufacture of product. Modules „D“ and „E“ cover manufacture phase and follow the module “B. Module „H“ refers to full quality assurance of product of the STN EN ISO 9001: 2015 „Management quality systems. Requirements“ along with surveillance of Technická inšpekcia, a.s. who is responsible for approval and control of quality system o f manufacturer.
